First, let me tell you about the part on how this RP will function because this is what will set it apart for success or for failure.
There will be six villains and one hero. The hero may have two side kicks and certain villains may also have a side kick(1) if I think it fits them and they can get a player for that role.
The RP will play like episodes. Each villain will be a main character, each with their own chapter devoted to his/her run in with the hero, how they became villains and how they get defeated and sent to the asylum or (if by accident) killed or hospitalized. If the villains fails to kill the other then it will be next players turn. I will personally over see everything and make sure that there is a fair chance for the hero and to keep the villains themselves balanced.
The villains who are not currently active(you can't be active as a bad guy in someone else episode, it about them and the hero development) you play as the supporting characters who can have an effect on the story. Such as doctors/professors/ cops/detectives/ loved ones of either of the main characters or a therapist ectr.
This is meant to follow the comic formula. We don't have a bunch of villains running about at the same time, all being introduced to one guy. They each get a chance for how they are made, why they are what they are. In this RP the focus will be on character development. thugs, gore, heavy detail in what kind of tech you have is all good but remember the main priority will ALWAYS be your relationships and how you're character feels and progresses with theirs life and issues. So, you can do a description on how you tore some guys head off and played basket ball with it but that shouldn't be the readers main hook, if you have an option to go on about your great machine or how your character is subtly feeling isolated due to not being able to see his wife again. Choose the wife issue for the sake of the story.
Because of this, I won't demand massive detail in things. It won't hurt but all your main detail/schemes/attention should be on expanding your character or if its a support character, in helping to expand the main twos character(don't get me wrong, your character can have lives of their own, just try to keep it getting in the way of the main two time to shine)
How are we going to do this. First let me make this clear. I plan to copy batman alot, dark city, mental asylum for criminals and nappy super villains. I will allow powers for villains but I will be very strict and moderating on how they can used or how balanced they are. The hero can't have powers but they can have tech and any skills they want but they won't be allowed to kill.I will moderate heroes if it seems the tech.skill can make the villains too easy.
Same for villains, while I will allow them to have hench men and some skills, even tech I might get a little heavy on my rule to make sure the hero isn't out matched to a un-fair degree. Hench men will pretty much also be throw away baddies-unless in a position where they can logical take him(the heroes badly beaten up and can't move his arms very well. Or he is totally surrounded with no escape open and they are all armed)
Rules I will invoke: If you have your turn as villain then bail because your a support. I will pretty much mark your name down and remember it well for future RPs. This is a community, Wer here to support each other and make stories with and for each other.
If the hero dosen't meet his end. I may make the six all team up to take him on for a finale to the RP. However I might reduce the number of villains before starting up.
Once we have two villains and sidekicks for them or 3 villains and no side kicks .I will shut down all spots until a hero is taken.
This will be an advanced RP. 2-5 Paragraphs at least.
Final note. This WILL have serious subjects in it .Some people may have a bad past or sick habits but let me make this clear, I will not and plan not to let anything too gruesome or disgusting be detailed out. However I will let it be stated that it happened, strongly suggested and hinted at. In short, if you want to juggle a five year old eyeballs while being a pedo clown, I won't let you. I will let you suggest it or say that your character did something like that in a cops file report though. lets try to keep it paced though and tasteful, in that they build up subtle character profile and not sick stuff for the sake of sick stuff.
I strongly support team work. Please feel free to make plans with the hero player or his sidekicks, maybe other villains about relationships they may of had, This go for the support characters too. Also I will not make people submit another profile for support character. You may keep those bare basic, a picture and a role with personality/skills will work. Its the main character you have that will need to shine and sparkle.
Dark city, a possible trio or single do gooder. A league of nutty villains all after different things. Therapist got pay checks coming and the cops are going to get more than simple brutality can stand against...lets not forget the poor un-suspecting folks walking down the street waiting to be suckered.
Who will protect them, save them. Lead those lost to a safe place to be helped.
