Verizon has stated that this update has all it takes to compensate for every feature customers want on their smartphones. There are a lot of changes in UI once the upgrade is installed and for the first time in an OS upgrade, these changes are easier to live with.

The most visually noticeable feature is that users can unlock these devices directly to the camera, text messaging, phone dialer, or home screen.

The new People app takes the place of the old Contacts app. This one is better and it offers rich profile information, large pictures, phone numbers, addresses, accounts, status updates and integration with social networks.

By featuring large-screen optimization, enhanced email navigation and advanced text input methods; the webtop application also does its part. When subscribed to an international plan, users with these upgraded phones can avail voice and data service in more than 220 countries.
